I'm a huge Tori Amos fan. Bjork not so much, although I thought she was great in "Dancer in the Dark". That movie stuck with me for days. Plus, I love her "brave" sense of fashion. I don't know if this is allowed or not, but I'm trying to promote my little online store, www.fairyboutique.com Faeries were listed as a community interest, so there you go.

Hi! And welcome... this community's been quite quiet lately, but if you are interested in more active exchange of ideas, check out Toriforum at http://toriforum.proboards47.com

I don't think I can ever watch "Dancer in the Dark" again. It, too, "stuck with me for days," but it felt like my body just shut down. Made me a little bitter against the human race. It's been 4 years since I watched that movie... damn, that's awhile! Anyway, yeah...

Dancer in the Dark

I know! It wasn't a "feel-good" movie that's for sure. I still don't like the actor who played the character that stole that money from her (David Morse, I think?) It was a role he played too well, because I can no longer imagine him as anything but a complete bastard. Bjork, though, really proved she can act, though.

Re: Dancer in the Dark

Shortly after that movie came out, there was a short interview with Bjork that I read, probably in Spin magazine, I'm not sure, where she said that becos the role she played was so intense, she doesn't want to act again. I don't know if she has changed her mind since then, though...

Re: off topic

awesome! I added you.

I read the first few entries and liked the fact that they weren't boring/lame entries, but did in fact have a little bit of thought put into it.

Hey, are you the Amy who bought a cameo? I really hope you like it. I have one just like it I bought for myself. You must have some style, baby! ; )

I know what you mean. After I watched Dancer in the Dark, I couldn't even talk about it for a while. I was like in shock or something at how incredibly SAD it was. But at the same time sometimes it made me laugh. Hm.

It really was one of those movies that you just couldn't make any more depressing if you had set out to, which maybe they did, I don't know. The scenes where she was singing were a little bizarre and maybe I would have laughed, too, if I was on enough prozac at the time. Is there enough prozac for that movie? I don't really think so.
